Who I Am

I was born in Vietnam and arrived in Chalon-sur-Saône, France, in the 1980s. Photography first became a vital link between two countries and two generations. My parents had purchased a Nikon film camera to document our new life in France and send these images to our grandparents who remained in Vietnam. These photographs were not just memories — they told a story, offered reassurance, and maintained a sense of presence across distance.

Within my family, imagery quickly became a natural language. As a teenager, when my sister entrusted me with her Nikon Coolpix 990, I began to see the world differently — no longer only to preserve moments, but to understand them, to compose them, and to give them meaning.

Why Photography

Despite this early attraction to imagery and artistic fields, my academic path moved toward science, guided by my parents’ expectations and discipline. I learned rigor, method, and intellectual structure — elements that permanently shaped the way I think.

For more than fourteen years, I worked as a data analyst within international groups. There, I developed strong expertise in analysis, modeling, and data reliability. Photography became my balance — a controlled space of freedom. Where numbers impose strict frameworks, the image allows intuition, silence, and emotion, without ever abandoning technical precision.

My Aspirations

Today, I have chosen to unite these two paths rather than oppose them. Photography has become the meeting point between analytical thinking and creative expression.

My ambition is to build a thoughtful and coherent visual language, where every image is intentional, technically mastered, and meaningful. My background in data analysis informs my photographic approach: preparation, contextual awareness, precision, and reliability. I aim to develop a body of work that endures over time, serving human, artistic, and professional projects — creating images that are sincere, accurate, and carefully considered.
